Numerunique’s QR Codes

The objects from numerunique are unique.
This uniqueness is guaranteed by a unique identification code whose validity can be verified on the numerunique website. A QR code specific to each object facilitates this verification, for example:
This QR code is unrelated to EAN barcodes, which identify a type of mass-produced item in potentially unlimited quantities. Even similar numerunique objects have their own unique identification code!
Moreover, the QR code of a numerunique object is treated uniquely. By default, it confirms the object’s authenticity, but it can also provide access to special processing defined for each object. For instance, some business cards from numerunique have a QR code that directs to the contact page of the main numerunique website, others to the homepage of the numerunique objects site, and the QR code above leads to this article.
Many other services offered by these QR codes are either implemented or planned.
It’s already possible to declare yourself the owner of a numerunique object or even purchase it with an online payment :-)
Soon, it will be possible to report an object as lost. By scanning the QR code, the finder will be prompted to return it to numerunique, which will then return it to its owner.
