How to block phone spams
16/02/2018

We all receive unwelcome phone calls of all kinds, to the point that we end up generalizing a frigid phone welcome even to our close ones.

The most obvious solution is the resort to the blacklist. To facilitate this, numerunique shared a free two-click blocking system. Alas, even with 1044 numbers on the blacklist, we are still disturbed.

Another solution proves more effective: it consists of configuring a minimalist IVR (Interactive Voice Response):

Finally peaceful !

In practice, it is robots that launch the calls, automatically, in place of the employees of the call platforms. As soon as a target picks up, the robot rings the post of an available slave who can then spout his spiel by following the directives of the imposed commercial speech. The current robots are incapable of understanding the announcement of an IVR nor of dialing 1. As a bonus, this spares the unfortunate who are exploited on the call platforms from having their conversion rates degraded by a call that will lead to nothing.
