EURL Barme organizational chart
(A humorous version of this organizational chart is accessible to identified visitors by clicking on the image above.)
Among the possible structures for starting an independent activity, there is one that offers many advantages: the EURL (Single-Person Limited Liability Company). It is the minimal version of the SARL. Minimal because it is accessible to a single person, but otherwise it is in every way equivalent to a full SME structure, with all its accessories, notably administrative.
For example, every 12 months, the fiscal year is closed by a General Assembly that brings together all the partners as well as the manager (that is, a single person in this case). The most important point of this meeting is the fifth resolution, which consists of approving the manager's annual remuneration. This resolution, put to a vote, is generally adopted unanimously, the interested party not having taken part in the vote, of course, as is done among courteous people.
The sole partner, manager of an EURL, must therefore be multi-schizophrenic every day of their activity as well. The one who dreamed of being "their own boss" actually finds themselves more like "their own employee" or even "their own employees," might as well go all the way.
Rest assured, it lives very well. The variety of tasks to accomplish is truly fascinating. And the client benefits: they access a "team" with perfect cohesion!
