To respond in more detail to Marbaf's comment on the article "Water consumption," here is what the small black box above the Raspberry Pi protects:

A very simple terminal block that allows cleanly connecting the two wires coming from the pulse water meter with a simple screwdriver turn.

The terminal block is itself connected to the ribbon connector via the prototype board conductors, enhanced with a 10 kΩ resistor and a small piece of electrical cable.

It immediately looks more elegant.

The whole is completed by a few solders on the back:

This is where we see that the skills within EURL Barme are at a much higher level in IT than in electronics.

And that's why the details of the assembly are offered, unlike EURL Barme's services.

Oh yes, the technician who did these solders could have settled for only 3 for the 26 connector pins. But he needs to practice a bit.
