What is an Internet "site"?

An example of a website among others...
A "site" is:
- a domain name,
- hosting,
- content,
- updates...
The most important is the domain name (for example, nun.tf). This is what gives access to your website. You must be the "owner" to have control over your site. A domain name is assigned to the first person who requests it, and that person retains exclusive use as long as they pay the registration fees (modest and annual).
The hosting is the computer (we speak of a server) that will be accessed from the domain name. There are a multitude of hosting solutions, and it is very easy to change. You just need to ensure that the chosen hosting offers all the features you want to use. Hosting is usually rented monthly.
The content is the whole point of a website. It must obviously be well presented for the "visitors," but first, it must be easy to "put online" and evolve. Here too, there are multiple solutions, the most accessible being provided by CMS (Content Management System) like the one used for this blog.
Once access is possible, thanks to a domain name, to the content of a website placed on hosting, all that remains is to keep it alive with regular updates; an activity that always takes more time than imagined.
