For a while now, reading the exchanges on professional IT discussion lists, recently reinforced by official public information, the problem is no longer whether there will be power outages but how to manage them…
Very little electricity is enough for numerunique's professional activity: a screen, a keyboard and, ideally, an Internet connection (it's not always essential) allow its entire team to work. It takes very little electricity but it still needs some. So, here is the solution implemented to mitigate this risk of power outage.

Yes, a generator capable of powering the UPS that makes outages transparent.

A few days of work carried out despite power outages would be enough to compensate for the investment in this solution.
But here's the thing, one problem can hide another: how to put the generator outside?
This is where the other facet of numerunique's skills comes in: the design and production of very specific objects.

There is indeed a small annoying detail to put this generator on the roof closest to numerunique's headquarters: it is sloped. That said, it's rather good for evacuating rainwater (yes, it rains in the North too). Of course, the wood chosen for this is perfectly resistant to humidity. In fact, it was for this project that it was sought; the CoccInnelleS was an opportunity to use the scraps. In comparison, we can see that this generator support has already had the opportunity to weather more than one shower.
But back to the sloped roof which means that this kind of support does not exist in commerce from classic distributors. To numerunique's knowledge, only numerunique knows how to make this kind of realization :-)
Ah, a carpenter or a cabinetmaker perhaps? And do you think he would come for that?
There remains a hope that this will remain a useless project. This is why this support is easily removable.
