A history of Happy New Year!
02/01/2016

Created in 2008, EURL Barme wished its first Happy New Year greetings in 2009:

Apart from the pun on the headquarters of EURL Barme which was very popular, the photo seems naive from 2016's perspective. The desk is the same but the premises and equipment have evolved a lot since then.

In 2010, it's the same photo except for the background:

This development project had great success (but could not be realized, alas...).

In 2011, the greetings take on a more technical dimension with a flash animation:

In 2016, flash is on the way out, officially for security reasons, undoubtedly more to eliminate potential competition with applications that must be purchased online.

In 2012, the greetings are presented by a mini website with a clickable link on a "mysterious" image:

Very few people clicked on the link: a beautiful example of improvable ergonomics!

In 2013, it's again an animation, but in HTML 5:

Not only is it still relevant but it's a future-proof technique.

In 2014, the greetings are integrated into the EURL Barme website:

The photo used as background is exceptional: a rainbow from the Jardin lighthouse to the Conchée fort, at the approaches to the Rance estuary. It is authentic in addition. It is possible that the originality of this photo escaped some visitors.

In 2015: nothing! A very heavy workload motivated an interesting experience: what happens if you don't wish the traditional Happy New Year greetings? Well nothing... everything is fine.

At the beginning of this year 2016, the workload of EURL Barme is even greater than the previous year. But the end-of-year greetings are a tradition so the question is resolved once and for all with the concept of greetings for the current year that is to say automatically updated every year.
